Podiatry
- Robert Isaacs
A State (HPC) registered Podiatrist with over ten years experience
working in a specialist NHS clinic. His specialist areas are
Biomechanics and minor surgery. He does not undertake
"routine" chiropody such as regular nail care and callus
reduction, being focussed on those two specialist areas. Mr
Isaacs practices a pioneering technique for the care of verruca
called "dry needling". This technique has been routine in
America for several decades but has only recently become known in
this country. It has an excellent success rate, and is often
effective where conventional therapies (like caustics and freezing)
have failed. In biomechanics, Mr Isaacs has access to his own
orthoses laboratory as well as computer assisted design /
manufacture (CAD CAM) devices. He Writes a regular column for the
national journal and lectures on biomechanics theory
internationally. He is also involved in delivering the Masters Level
Biomechanics program for the University of Ulster.
