Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Charlie Plummer
Charlie qualified with a First Class (Hons) Degree in Adult Nursing from Oxford Brookes University before qualifying in 2003 with a MSc Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh.
He continued to extend his education completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine, Advanced Hydrotherapy and Acupuncture.
He completed several rotations in Orthopaedics, Medical/ Surgical, Respiratory/ Intensive Care, Oncology, Neurological Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal Outpatients whilst also working privately. He
went on to hold a Senior Musculoskeletal Practitioner position in the Community Rehabilitation Team before focussing solely on PhysioFit Kent which he had already developed in 2007.
He has also held Physiotherapy positions for the Kent Football Association and Badminton England before successfully gaining a Physiotherapy role at the London Olympics and Paralympics in 2012.
Whilst retaining his role at PhysioFit Kent he was also appointed as the Clinical Director of KIMS Therapy Services in 2010 before the business was sold to KIMS Hospital in 2016. His responsibilities
included appointing the in and out-patient therapy team, being involved in clinical protocols and directing clinical pathways for in and out-patient care.
He now solely runs PhysioFit Kent with his wife retaining a large caseload of Musculoskeletal patients seen within the practice and at patient's homes.

Charlotte Turner
Charlotte qualified in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia. She subsequently took additional qualifications in Acupuncture and Advanced Hydrotherapy.
She initially completed her junior rotations at Darent Valley Hospital before becoming a Senior Physiotherapist in the out-patient department at Medway Hospital.
Within a sports setting she worked for over four years collectively at the academies of Gillingham and Fulham Football Clubs. She then made the transition into private Physiotherapy at PhysioFit Kent.

Ben Motum
Ben graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University and has returned to Kent after more than 11 years working in Vancouver, Canada.
In addition he has gained specialized training through completion of a Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy from Bath University, which led to him conducting research into longstanding groin pain, specifically in football players.
He brings a diversified musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy skill set developed in both Canada and the UK providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation in both the private and public sectors for patients of all ages and various abilities and backgrounds.
Clinical experience includes working in the sports sector as the Physiotherapy Lead for Canadian Mens Rugby leading into the 2019 World Cup, 2023 World Cup qualification and Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS. He was also the Chief Therapist for the Americas Masters Games overseeing therapy services over 5,000 athletes across 23 sports.
Ben enjoys using this experience and training to deliver high quality, evidenced based physiotherapy to all his patients. Utilising postgraduate training which includes Pilates, intramuscular stimulation/ dry needling, manual therapy and exercises to get patients back to function as quickly as possible. He also uses functional movements, strength and conditioning, core training and sport specific rehabilitation to get his patients returning to their lifestyle of choices as quickly as possible.

Neurological / Elderly Care
Hester Thompson
Hester qualified from the University of Brighton in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy. She has additional qualifications in BBTA Normal Movement 2005 and Aquatic Physiotherapy for Neurological Conditions.
She subsequently worked at Maidstone Hospital for 10 years initially completing her junior and senior rotations before specialising as a Senior Neurological Physiotherapist on the Boxley Rehabilitation Unit. She also covered a maternity leave post as a Senior Oncology Physiotherapist during this time.
Hester worked at PhysioFit Kent for a number of years before moving to a Specialist Physiotherapy position then Therapy Team Lead role at the Hospice in the Weald. She then returned to the practice in 2015 where she heads the Neurological and Elderly Care rehabilitation.

Kate Savage
Kate qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) Degree and went on to extend her qualifications achieving a
MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire in 2015.
She completed her junior rotations at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital Trust before targeting specialist respiratory rotations between 2006-2009.
She has since held the Respiratory Lead position at Darent Valley Hospital (Dartford) until 2014 before becoming the In-patient Lead Physiotherapist at KIMS Hospital, before transferring to the Band 7 Specialist Physiotherapist position in Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Currently she is the Band 8a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the same trust and since 2016 has an Out patient respiratory caseload at PhysioFit Kent.
